Are there any special requirements for driving or hiring a car in Guam?

As an overseas US territory, driving in Guam isn't something to be afraid of. Most rules of the road in Guam reflect those of the USA, of course as a small island, it's generally a much simpler affair. With no freeways or highways to speak of, the road network is relatively straight forward and in good condition. You'll find some dirt roads when out of town, particularly towards the north of the island.
