Following the recent case of a passenger being forcefully dragged from his seat due to an over booked flight, many passengers have been left asking what are their rights in regards to not only their cancelled flight but the other holiday expenses this could trigger.
Here at Rhino we want to make sure you are clear on what will happen to your car hire booking in the event of you not making your flight, this may be due to cancellation or overbooking. What does happen if your plane is overbooked and you can no longer collect your hire car as previously arranged?
Rhino Car Hire is proud of the customer service we provide and work hard to ensure that all of our policies are fair and transparent. Our standard free cancellation policy means that in the large majority of cases we will allow customers who have already paid in full to cancel up to 48 hours prior to picking up their vehicle and receive a full refund. However we also understand that there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances, such as your plane being overbooked.
Therefore in exceptional circumstances we will amend your booking outside of the terms of our standard free cancellation policy as outlined below:
It is important to let us know of your exceptional circumstance before the time you were due to collect the car, as otherwise the customer service team at the car hire desk will assume the booking is a no-show. In this instance it will be harder for us to guarantee a refund. It’s all about getting in touch
BEFORE pick up time to avoid a technical no-show.
