Murcia Flights Now Operate from Corvera Airport
The Spanish Government has now completed the long-awaited transfer of commercial flights from Murcia-San Javier Airport (MJV) to the new Región de Murcia International Airport, better known as Corvera Airport (RMU).
Murcia-San Javier, once a busy hub for holidaymakers, now operates solely in a military capacity. From here on, all passenger flights to and from the region are handled by Corvera Airport, which is designed to meet the growing demand for tourism in southern Spain.
Airlines including EasyJet and Ryanair were among the first to announce routes to Corvera, with regular flights already operating from London Gatwick, Dublin, Bristol, Manchester, and Birmingham. More airlines are expected to follow suit, strengthening connections between the UK, Ireland, and Murcia.
