About Forli Airport
Forli Airport, otherwise called Luigi Ridolfi is a small airport in the north east of Italy very close to the old town of Forli. It’s used as an entry point for the Adriatic Riviera resorts. The airport is less than 30 minutes from the centre of Forli and there’s plenty of parking for a small airport in front of and to the left of the terminal building as you approach.

Forli Airport

Travelling There
Only two airlines fly into Forli as others have transferred to Bologna including Ryanair. The current operators are Wizzair and Belle Air, both budget operators from eastern Europe.

Getting to Your Destination After Landing at the Airport
The airport is on the outskirts of Forli old town which can be reached by bus from the airport. Check at the information desk for schedules, routes and timetables. A shuttle bus operates between the airport and Forli station and the airport and points on the Adriatic Riviera. The cost of a one way ticket is €12. Look out for Taximinibus Cervia and Cesenatico Tranfert on the vehicles. Taxis also operate on a fixed charge basis into Forli. If hiring a car, the companies’ desks are easily visible as you enter the arrivals hall from customs. Things don’t get too busy there but pre-booking is always a sensible option. You may want to consider sending a driver through to beat the queues but the wait is rarely more than 45 minutes for a car.

It is hoped that the airport will have a broad balance of flights within two years.

Forli Airport is a small airport in the north east of Italy and serves the nearby city of Forli. From there, hiring a car will allow you to tour the sights of the city including the stately Piazza Saffi which has a fairy tale quality to it, illuminated at night.

The city was the birthplace of many artists and other famous people. The dictator Mussolini was also an infamous local politician there. Outside the city you can explore the region of Emilia-Romagna and the north eastern coast with its unspoilt coastline and countryside.
