That's right, Rhinocarhire.com last night was awarded Best Car Hire Website 2010 at the prestigious Travolution Awards ceremony held at The Boiler House, Battersea Power Station on 28th September. Being short listed for the award was a prize within itself but to walk away knowing that our industry peers had awarded Rhinocarhire.com as winners in the category of Best Car Hire Website is unbelievable.
It is just starting to sink in now after an eventful night in London, my wife and I had an interesting travel experience, with Chelsea playing at home, getting into and around Battersea was a challenge, but we took our seats just in time for the dinner. Guest speakers and NACOA (National Association for Children of Alcoholics) patrons, Elle Macpherson and Callum Best joined the 500 strong industry delegates and the awards themselves were hosted by Jeremy Vine.
We were in good company too, with the likes of Lastminute.com, BA and Tripadvisor all collecting awards on the night. The judging panel was made up of 14 leading industry experts from the likes of Easyjet, Virgin Holidays and Travolution and we were blown away with what they had to say about us;
"The winner stood out for trying to do something quirky and different in a highly commoditised sector. The judges felt the winning site successfully conveyed a personality backed up by solid technology which meant it was price competitive in what is a difficult market."
Hearing that kind of praise from your peers really is fantastic and all of the team at Rhino deserve praise!
It's been a great last 12 months for us with a new look website and our re-launched car hire blog and soon to be re-launched car hire news, we really have moved forward. With lots of new features on the way too, we'll be fighting to defend our position as Best Car Hire Website in 2011.
