Since opening in 1934, Aberdeen Airport now offers flights to over 30 UK and overseas destinations, served by some 20 airlines. The airport now attracts in excess of 3 million travellers every year. This figure is expected to rise to over 4 million by 2020, due to an on-going investment and development plan, including a runway extension.

If you are short on time, commission-free currency can be ordered beforehand for collection at the airport and there are 5 ATMs available. Free WiFi can be found in Costa Coffee, along with printing facilities and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the airport. If you are travelling for business and need a rest or just a place to catch up with work, the Servisair Executive Lounge is just the ticket.
If you are travelling with small children, there are baby changing facilities available throughout and most bars and restaurants provide highchairs and menus for children, this will all help your journey be as stress free as possible.

Once at the airport, if in need of food, drink or a sit down, you will not be disappointed. Have a coffee in Costa, a tipple in Wetherspoons, or try The Granite City bar which boasts a traditional Scottish menu which can be enjoyed in a beautiful beer garden. For sports fans, all the live action can also be watched there. There are many hotels available in and around the airport if you have the need for one.

If you need last minute items, there are shops available including Tie Rack, Dixons, WH Smith and Boots. The “Art at Aberdeen Airport” exhibition is a must see and items can be viewed and purchased at the airport or online, prior to your trip.
What are the Choices for Transport Links Between the City and the Airport?
Situated in Dyce, the Airport is seven miles north-west of the City and can be reached by the A96 Aberdeen-Inverness Road, just follow the signposts. If travelling by car, there is secure car parking available. The nearest train station is 2 miles from the airport and an airport bus can connect you to there, it’s then 10 minutes to Aberdeen city centre. There is also a bus service from the airport and in light traffic the journey would take around 30 minutes. Taxis are also available at the front of the terminal.
