Las Vegas Mirage Hotel Mini Guide
Where is the Mirage Hotel?
The Mirage is found at 3400 Las Vegas Boulevard South and is connected to the Treasure Island
by a tram so guests can use the facilities of both hotels.
How do I get to the Mirage?
Many go to Las Vegas for the lights, others the gambling and yet more to stay in the wonderful hotels. Whatever your reason, you’ll arrive at McCarran International Airport which receives flights from worldwide destinations including several from main UK
airports. It’s no distance from the airport to The Strip and you’ll soon be basking in luxury at your destination.
What is the Mirage Like?
It’s not huge, only just over 3,000 rooms, when you compare it with others on the strip but it is certainly opulent. Designed to raise the standards on The Strip, the windows glow gold because of the gold dust used in the glass-making process. It was the most expensive Las Vegas hotel ever built and needed to earn a million dollars a day to pay off its building loan. It’s best known for its signature attraction, the artificial volcano that erupts every evening on the hour. The fumes from it smell of pina colada!
What is the Dining Like at the Mirage?
You have a choice of six fine dining destinations in the hotel including several with a prix fixe menu so you can dine in style and not break the bank. Choose from Japonais, Stack, an American grill style eatery, Kokomo for a rainforest dining experience or Onda, voted the top Italian restaurant. A further ten options complete the range, some with live entertainment whilst you eat.
How Will I be Entertained at the Mirage?
If you want to watch a live show, try ‘Love’, a Beatles themed show performed by Cirque du Soleil. There’s also a Beatles theme in the garden and pool area. For laughter you have the choice of watching ‘Aces of Comedy’ or seeing America’s Got Talent winner Terry Fator with his hilarious show. During the day, you can simply relax by the fabulous pools on oversize loungers whilst attentive waiters hang on your next request.
