Introducing Prague Airport
Prague Airport has two modern new terminals, located six miles west of the city. The airport served 11.6m passengers last year and has won two awards for ‘Best Central and Eastern European Airport’. At the airport there are over 4,000 parking spaces including dedicated ones for disabled travellers.
How you can get There
60 scheduled airlines operate international and domestic routes through Prague Airport. Additionally a number of mostly seasonal charter airlines operate too.
For Your Onward Journey
There are no rail facilities at the airport but several bus routes make stops at railway stations across the city. The number 119 calls at Dejvicka station where you should change to Metro Line A for the city centre. Route 100 stops at Zlicin where you should change to Line B and at night, route 510 takes you into the city centre. An AirportExpress coach service leaves Terminals 1 and 2 travelling to Prague’s central railway station for routes across the country and into Austria
If you get Lost or Need Some Help
There is an airport information desk found in the public area of Terminals 1 and 2. There you can get information about onward travel, buy bus tickets and report lost luggage.
Facilities at Prague Airport
There are no bank branches at Prague Airport but several foreign exchange offices operate there. There are many ATMs from various banks and a post office offering full postal services. First aid requirements should be reported to a member of staff or to the airport information desk so that a trained first aider can be found. Free Wi-Fi is offered across both terminals.
Shopping there is excellent with 85 outlets offering designer goods from Armani, Boss, Lacoste and others. There are also newsagents and booksellers, flower vending machines, a bakery, watch and sunglasses shops plus many more. Branches of Travel Value offer goods at guaranteed lowest prices including alcohol, tobacco products, perfumery and gifts. There are also shops selling Czech wines and delicacies.
Food and Drink
There are many restaurants and cafes at the airport and to help the customer on a tight budget decide, they have signs indicating the cost of a standard meal with a drink. To reduce eating costs, pick up a voucher book from the stands around the airport which offer discounts at many of the outlets.
There are a number of cafes and bars serving hot, cold and alcoholic drinks together with light snacks for those who need light refreshment.
Extra Assistance for Passengers
Passengers with reduced mobility should inform the airport at least 48 hours before travel so that arrangements can be made to assist you. Upon arrival, either use one of the 14 service call points to summon assistance or ask at check-in or the information desk. General assistance is available for disabled travellers but it is recommended that you inform your airline before travelling so that necessary steps can be taken to assist you during the flight. The airport conforms to EU law on disability provision.
