Who Flies to London Ontario?
It’s a popular tourist destination for those who want to compare Canada’s London with the one back in the UK
. It’s also a busy industrial city which is visited by many business travellers. It’s beautiful in winter when the snow lays deep in the city parks and again in springtime when the trees come into leaf. You can also spend your time spotting comparisons of street names and landmarks such as Covent Garden Market and Piccadilly.
How Easy is it to get to London Ontario?
The airport deals mainly with domestic flights plus a scheduled flight to Chicago
and holiday flights to Mexico. Travellers from further afield including Europe and the UK need to fly to a connecting hub such as Chicago or Toronto and fly on from there. Once at the airport there’s a variety of ways to get into London including bus, taxi and the preferable option; car hire.
What is the Airport Like?
It’s very busy airport, handling over half a million passengers a year. It has grown rapidly over the last five years, confirming the need for the upgrade and expansion of the passenger terminal that was completed eight years ago. Despite the improvement though you’ll find that if you arrive on a large plane you may have to wait to disembark as the terminal can only handle 180 disembarkations at once. There is a choice of three restaurants at the airport, all serving delicious, freshly prepared food. You’ll find only a single gift shop which doubles as a duty free outlet and whilst there are no banks, there is an ATM handy for last minute Canadian dollars. Finally, those that want to work during their time at the airport will be pleased to hear that Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
