As well as passenger flights the airport is also used for charter flights and helicopters, flying crews out to gas rigs in the North Sea.
How can I fly There?
Most of the flights available are from the UK and there is a scheduled service to Amsterdam
which allows connections to worldwide destinations. There are also seasonal flights to popular holiday resorts in Europe.
How do I get to the City From the Airport?
Norse operates a bus service from just outside the airport into the city centre. It runs every 10-15 minutes, 6 days a week. You can also take a taxi or use a hire car – just take the A140 road into the city.
What Facilities are at the Airport?
There is a travel agency at the airport, if you need to change your ticket or book into a hotel. To check your emails you can use the Wi-Fi service or use the internet desks in departures. Norwich Airport will not only get you into Norwich more quickly but also opens up the entire range of Norfolk’s delights to the traveller. Hire a boat to gently drift along Britain’s best known waterways, the Norfolk Broads, or hire a car and head north in the county to visit the windswept dunes and sandy beaches of old fashioned holiday resorts such as Cromer.
Alternatively, if you’re a football fan, see a match at the Carrow Road ground of the Premiership’s newest recruit, Norwich City; you might even see the great chef, Delia Smith, in the crowd.
