Located in the north of London this immense stadium is where the England football team play their international matches. Meanwhile Wembley stadium has been quite controversial and drawn a lot of attention over the years, not least because of how much it cost and how long it took to build. Started in 2003 it was not finished until 2007 at the cost of more than eight hundred million pounds. It was designed by the same architects who created another famous London landmark, The Eye.
Other than Football?
The stadium is also close to Wembley Arena and that venue is used for many concerts and special events. Yet more Wembley redevelopment is to be expected and that will include changing the location of the town hall, even though it is currently in a grade two listed building - Brent Town Hall.
