With about 500,000 people living in this trendy city which is within easy access of some pretty countryside, Madison is well worth visiting if you are in Wisconsin. There is a regional airport in Madison which has some interstate flights.
Many tourists go to the Wisconsin Dells which is only an hour’s drive to the north of the city of Madison has great scenery and theme parks to boot. As well as being the ‘Water park capital of the world’ Wisconsin Dells has numerous places to do fun activities such as river boat cruises and fishing. Take the interstates 90 or 94 to drive to the Dells. The scenic area of Door County also draws tourists who can enjoy being by lakes and out in nature. However, having a car here is the only reliable way of getting around.
