Moline Airport Mini Guide
Moline Airport is also known as the Quad City International Airport. It serves the county of Rock Island in
Illinois but is also close to
Iowa.
If your destination is not closer to the two large neighbouring airports in
Chicago then Moline Airport can make a good alternative. It is also a good place to pick up cheap car hire because vehicles are less likely to sell out as quickly as they do in
Midway and
O'Hare airports.
Whilst you are almost certain to see a tractor whilst in Moline, your hire car from Moline Airport will be a lot quicker and more comfortable! This is the centre of Illinois’ agriculture as well as much of its industry and a summer drive in your hire car out of Moline will find mile after mile of food production. Apart from the countryside, there is plenty else to see with some of the state’s major cities within a couple of hour’s drive.
