Customer questions about Dublin Airport car hire

Hi, myself and my friend are looking to hire a car from Dublin Airport for the 16th-19th June. My friend will be the driver, she is 24 but has held a full licence for 5 years. What is the best deal you have?

Hi, A Young Driver Fee will apply but we do offer a young driver discount to help offset the young driver surcharge. One moment, I will firm up a quote for you.

Hi, I'm a German driver 20 years of age and have my license since more than 3.5 years without an accident. I want to visit Ireland in November and I want to rent a car. Is there any possibility to rent one?

Hi, if you can please confirm the dates and location you require the vehicle, I can then get a quote for you and also check our suppliers terms and conditions on young drivers.

Dublin Airport Mini Guide

What Should I Know About Dublin Airport?
Dublin Airport is one of the top ten in Europe when it comes to passenger volume, so of course it’s the busiest airport in Ireland. Located on the East coast of the Irish Republic It provides a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere accompanied by the warmth and humour of a true Cead Mile Falite (a traditional Irish welcome). Stepping through the arrival gates at Dublin Airport is a perfect start to your Irish adventure. Work is about to begin on replacing the current runway to allow for larger aircraft. The plans were due to be implemented several years ago but the economic decline caused them to be put on hold.

So How do I Get There?
Located only 10 kilometres from the centre of Dublin city it is easily accessible. If driving, the route is clearly signposted all the way to the centre of Dublin (just head in a southerly direction) or if you’d prefer to take in the sights of the capital just relax and hop on any one of the 700 coaches and buses that service it daily. Shuttle buses are also available directly from Heuston train station for those arriving by train from the west. Taxis and hackney cabs are available from the many ranks throughout the capital. However you decide to get there be sure to enjoy the ride.

What if I Like to Shop?
If you like to shop but hate the crowds or you’re just tired from all your exploring, Dublin Airport provides the perfect solution. Just park your bags & cosy up in a corner, whip out your trusty iPhone and shop online to your hearts content. Featuring a range of the best selling items from the Dublin Airport shopping experience as well as special offers and exclusive discounts for online customers, it’s just, well, awesome!

All your shopping will be waiting ready for you to collect at the ‘Click and Pick up’ point. They also offer a Shop & Collect service for those travelling within the countries of the EU.
Help, I Hate Airplane Food!
For those of us who’ve eaten cardboard sandwiches, unidentifiable rubber textured pasta type dishes and the chewy bread roll at 30,000 feet, Dublin Airport is the ultimate in pre-flight nourishment. Make your stomach love you (and your bank manager cry) by sitting down for a meal that’s worthy of a champagne toast at the Caviar House. Located in the Loop shopping area, it allows you to sample the finest gourmet dishes. Why not start out with some caviar and smoked wild Irish Salmon followed by a sea food platter and some lobster or salad but don’t forget to leave room for their divine sashimi and sushi.

If seafood is not your thing, there is so much choice at Dublin Airport that no one will be disappointed. From all the usual fast food suspects to independent cafes and international coffee houses all appetites will be fully satisfied and there’ll only be space left for drinks on the plane.
