Weston Super Mare Mini Guide
Weston-Super-Mare, often shortened to Weston or WSM, is one of Britain’s best loved seaside resorts found on the north Somerset coast forty minutes from
Bristol. It only developed from a small village when the craze for sea bathing took off in Victorian times but suffered a decline with the advent of cheap foreign holidays.
If you’re flying in, then Bristol International Airport is the closest and is a short journey south on the A38 if you
rent a car from Bristol airport. It has many flights from most major European destinations as well as a flight from
Cancun in
Mexico. Travellers from North America would be recommended to fly into London’s
Heathrow Airport and hire a car before driving along the M4 to Bristol. It is also possible to catch a train from Paddington to Bristol before changing for Weston-Super-Mare.
