Customer questions about London Walthamstow car hire

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap car preferably diesel for a month in Walthamstow

Hi, you can filter by fuel type, or just browse all available cars and it will show available diesel vehicles. It is often significantly more expensive to hire a diesel however and the fuel cost / saving is unlikely to justify the extra cost of the car unless you are covering signifcant mileage where the diesel is more economical, just something to consider.

Walthamstow Mini Guide

Explore the north east of London with with your Rhino hire car in Walthamstow. Located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest this is a convenient car hire pick up point as it is so close to Charing Cross. This part of greater London is also within driving distance of Tottenham, Leyton and Epping Forest. Walthamstow has a long history having been mentioned in the Domesday Book and the name means place of welcome. It has grown over the years from a series of small villages to a widespread suburb. Like many parts of London what made Walthamstow really take off was the arrival of the railway. Almost immediately, the population began to grow and more houses were built to accommodate them.

At the end of the eighteenth century the first motor car to be used in London was even constructed at Walthamstow by a local engineer named Frederick Bremer. By 1908 some of the first mass produced London buses had also been built at Walthamstow. The following year the first all-British aircraft, nicknamed the yellow terror, took off from Walthamstow.

Although most of our customers use rental vehicles at Walthamstow as a base from which to explore other parts of London, there are some sights to see. They include the house of the writer William Morris which was turned into a museum to celebrate his life. The grounds of his house are very beautiful and are open to the public as part of Lloyd Park in Forest Road.
