San Diego Mini Guide
San Diego is a massive City made up of nine very different districts, each offering a varied amount of entertainment and beautiful beaches.
It was established as the first Spanish Mission in 1769, the introduction of the railroad in the nineteenth century meant that San Diego could grow and become a city in its own right. It is situated on the Southern California seacoast which means its climate is ideal for relaxing in the sun.
Due to the ideal, climate, San Diego is very popular all year round with an average coastal temperature of around 75 degrees. The nine districts within the city have so much to offer visitors, ranging from the Old Town Mission Valley, which is the site of the original settlers many years ago.
Balboa Park Hillcrest is located at the very heart of the city and home to amazing museums and the world class San Diego Zoo. Downtown is host to many good bars and has a vibrant nightlife with many other attractions on offer.
The world famous Mission Beach is also located here, with vast beaches and superb views of all that surrounds this stunning city. Discount passes are available and offers express entry to over fifty attractions, including museums, zoos and amusement parks. There are also many tours on offer, showing the Old Town in all its historic splendor.
San Diego International Airport is the main airport served by six major airlines, the biggest being American Airlines. It is only ten minutes from Downtown and there are many airport shuttle companies which offer transportation to and from this airport.
McClellan Palomar airport offers domestic flights and Tijuana International Airport
offers flights from Mexico
and some long haul flight from Tokyo
