Customer questions about Mallorca Airport car hire

Hello, who are your rental partners in Mallorca and is there a way to change the fuel policy to full-full?

These are the agents we use: Centauro, Goldcar, OK Rent a Car, Atesa, Budget, Inter Rent, Sixt, Europcar, Avis and BK rent a car. You can filter by fuel policy to see which agents offer which cars with Full to Full (our recommended) fuel policy.

We booked a Mini car with youselves at Palma Airport & the rental voucher now indicates we will be allocated a Smart Car but when we booked we thought we were getting a Peugeot 107 or similar that seated 4 people & 2 cases as per the description on the website. Therefore can you please confirm that we will be issued a car that will seat 4 people & 2 cases?

Hi, sorry for any confusion, the car supplied will not necessarily be what is shown on the website when you quote, or the rental voucher, however it will be of equal or higher specification / capacity to that booked so you should have no concerns that the car will not be big enough. As we work with a number of different suppliers at Mallorca Airport we can't say for certain exactly which make and model you will receive, however I can say for sure that it will be to the same or higher specification to that booked.

Mallorca (Majorca) Airport Mini Guide

Welcome to Palma de Mallorca Airport
Also known as Son Saint Joan Airport and located just a few kilometres east of capital city Palma.  Providing an easy gateway to Mallorca's (Majorca's) fabulous tourist resorts, it’s no surprise that in peak season the airport becomes one of Europe's busiest destinations.  Since 2004 passenger numbers have easily exceeded 20 million, all arriving on one of more than 60 airlines from a variety of European cities.  The schedule is dominated by flights to and from the UK and Germany, as well as the airport being a significant stopping point in Spain's domestic flight network.
Making Your Onward Journey

Onward routes are plentiful by bus, taxi or an organised transfer.  Whether you need a short ride into the capital or are going onto a resort such as Magaluf (only 25 minutes away), take bus line 1 or Route 21 which offer regular services to and from numerous Mallorcan towns.  When the fair is visiting, bus line 1 will drop you at the fairground for some fun and frivolity.  Hiring a car is a great way to reach your holiday destination quickly and also offers the freedom to tour around, to truly make the most of your visit and if you are all partied out, escape to the beautiful Mallorcan countryside.  If you have hired a car through Rhino, collect it at the desks in airport arrivals and the island is yours to enjoy!
Mallorca Airport

Small and yet Caters for so Many
Since humble beginnings as a postal seaplane base in the 1920s, the airport has come a long way.  To cope with a rapid increase in visitor numbers, it has been developed to offer a modern terminal with 4 main modules.  Despite being quite small the excellent facilities cope very well with the influx.  Those in need of reduced mobility assistance can make an advance request to take advantage of a free support service.
With so Many Passengers, Will I Waste all my Time in Queues?
Absolutely not, the set-up is efficient and facilities are convenient.  In addition to the banks, internet access and other typical passenger services, there is a children's play room, VIP lounges and conferencing/events facilities.  Those in need of a final shopping fix, a travel essential, or a last-minute gift or souvenir to take home will not be disappointed.  There is a good mix of high street shops, convenient multi-shops and quaint one-off outlets, such as Delicias de Mallorca where you can treat yourself to a variety of Mallorcan gastronomic indulgences.  If you need sustenance, several restaurants and cafes serve drinks and snacks, local specialities, tapas and so much more.  Put simply, it offers all the essentials to nicely top and tail your holiday adventures.

Latest Update from Mallorca Airport:

12/05/12 - With passenger numbers approaching the current maximum capacity at the airport, plans are well underway to enlarge the facilities. A bigger terminal and improved passenger handling facilities are expected to be in place by the end of 2015.

07/02/13 - Passenger numbers dropped slightly in 2012 but with new routes with Aer Lingus from Belfast, Vueling from Heathrow and BA from Gatwick starting this spring, numbers are sure to pick up.

From Mallorca Airport, the main resorts are easily reached in a hire car. After a few days relaxing in your resort you may decide to travel to other resorts or explore the mountainous heart of the island. Also worth a visit is the northern coast where the climate and the scenery change dramatically from the hot arid south to cooler, lusher landscapes.

A favourite and quieter resort is Puerta Pollensa on the north eastern coast. There, as well as the charming fishing harbour and sandy beach there’s the chance to walk through the cool pine forest nearby on marked trails.
