There are flights to England via British Airways and BMI as well as low cost carriers like easyJet which operate routes to London Stansted and Luton. Meanwhile Ryanair flies to Glasgow Prestwick Airport which is quite a bit further out of the city on the Ayrshire coast. From Glasgow you can get to England on the M74 motorway, Edinburgh on the M8, the West Highlands on the A82 and to Stirling on the M80. Coming into Glasgow the M8 goes straight through the city, and you will find many NCP multi-storey car parks where you can put your vehicle.

Driving in Glasgow city centre can be hectic but there are no park and ride facilities to use. Most of Glasgow can be navigated by foot and there are many museums and galleries which are worth seeing, housing everything from modern art exhibitions to science displays. Glasgow also has a number of parks so there is lots of green space in the city.

If you want to go out at night there are many good bars in which to catch a gig in this vibrant city. Some of these are Barfly on Clyde Street and the Vale at Dundas Street.
