How do I get to San Juan Airport?
As a holiday hotspot for North Americans, there are dozens of flights from all over eastern and central America and Canada
. Additionally, San Juan Airport is the hub for many flights to other Caribbean airports too. Three long distance flights travel to San Juan Airport; from Madrid
and London Gatwick Airport with BA.
What’s the Airport Like?
As you’d imagine with any airport under American control, San Juan Airport is well managed and has great facilities. Last year it saw over four million passenger movements and has flights to 53 destinations. It has regularly received upgrades and expansions over the last four years to cope with booming passenger numbers and its most recent addition was a new Terminal A for the exclusive use of JetBlue Airways which operates 31 daily flights. The airport is split into two with a main terminal having four concourses off it and a separate terminal with a single concourse. There are dozens of eateries and shops in the airport where you can choose to dine at Buffalo Wings or McDonalds, Churches’ Chicken or Los Quesitos Mexican Restaurant. Shopping can be done at any of the small boutiques around the airport which include Puerto Rican souvenirs, jewellery and gifts. Elsewhere you’ll find a bank, a post office, hairdressers, massage and more.
