Narita is the second busiest airport in Japan and deals with mainly international flights into the Japanese capital. It’s very busy but not as busy as Haneda Airport - just over 36m passengers used it last year. What’s the airport like?
The airport has two terminals both of which have satellites; Terminal 1 is split into north and south wings whilst Terminal 2 is linear in design. Both terminals accept domestic and international flights and you are filtered into the correct channel as you head towards the arrivals hall. Getting into Tokyo is often best achieved by one of the many rail routes from the airport as, depending on your time of arrival, you may find the roads congested.
