Hannover Airport Car Rental Mini Guide

Hannover Airport is located seven miles from the city centre and provides easy access to people arriving by car. The airport has its own dedicated S-Bahn station found immediately in front of Terminal C. Lifts and an escalator will take you straight from the terminal building to the station. From here, routes into the city take around 15 minutes before continuing to Hamelin. Another route will take you to Paderborn.

If you are hiring a car, the companies’ desks can be found in the car hire centre on the arrivals level between Terminals A and B. It is recommended that the named driver goes through to arrange the collection of the rental car whilst others wait to  collect luggage, especially at peak times.

Starting your onward journey is easy too. The airport has an exit access road, the A352 which links to the A7, Hamburg to Kassel and the A2, Berlin to Dortmund motorways. Returning to the airport, there is a dedicated exit off the A2 signposted Langenhagen.
 
A number of airlines fly into and from Hannover Airport with a mix of scheduled, chartered, domestic and international flights. Some are seasonal to holiday destinations like Malaga, Murcia's new Corvera Airport, Alicante and Faro.
