Within the town visitors can join many locals and tourists at the popular Kirijurinluoto Park which has been open for over 100 years and contains flowers, sculptures and trails. To the centre of the park is the Kokemaenjoki River which is the main focal point of the attraction.
Another great site in the town is Sandy Bottomed Beach which is popular due to boasting clear and clean waters and is a favourite for those with children. A slice of history can be found in many places in the town such as The Rosenlew Museum which contains many exhibits within its 1860s building.

22/05/12 - Pori Airport has had mixed fortunes in recent years with the demise of the Finncomm flight to Helsinki. Whilst passenger numbers initially plunged, the introduction of Flybe's route from Helsinki has helped the airport regain popularity. With business customers being the main contributor to passenger numbers, Pori is actively looking for more international routes to the airport.
