About Montreal Airport
Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport or Montreal-Trudeau is in Dorval, Canada and 20km from the city of Montreal. It was renamed in 2004 after the former Prime Minister of Canada but was previously known as Dorval Airport.
How can I get There?
You can get there with direct flights from most cities worldwide and it is a hub for Air Canada. Some 32 airlines operate there to 130 regular and seasonal destinations including
London Heathrow,
Paris CDG,
Dubai,
Sydney and
Los Angeles. Last year 13.6m people chose to enter or leave Canada through Montreal Airport
Can I get to the City Easily?
STM has 4 regular routes into the city, the 204 and 209 are the day time buses. At night time you can take the 356 or 378 bus routes. The 747 Express Route leaves every 10 minutes during the day from outside the terminal. If you have hired a car, you can find the car hire offices on the ground level of parking and it is an easy drive using route 40.
What’s at the Airport for me?
There are information desks in departures and arrivals, should you lose your way around. For all your money needs, there are 12 ATMs in Euros, US dollars and Canadian dollars and 4 currency exchange counters. If you are travelling business or first class you will be entitled to use the Maple Leaf Lounges in each terminal. There you can relax or work and enjoy some refreshments. The TD First Class Lounge offers light meals and a bar service for a charge, if you don’t have a qualifying ticket. Internet is available in all the lounges and there are internet stations around the terminal. You can also use your mobile or laptop to connect to the free Wi-Fi service.
I Forgot Something, are There any Shops?
The Mini-Marche has all those little things you might have forgotten and snacks and drinks too. For souvenirs and gifts, take a look in Espace Artisan and Decouvrir Un Pays. You can buy books and music at Librairie Virgin and your newspaper and water at Maison de la Presse. There are 2 duty free shops for you to browse for the latest fragrances and special offers on spirits and tobacco. You can buy many more things at the airport, including clothing and sportswear and watches and sunglasses.
I’m Hungry…
There’s something for every taste at the airport. If you are in a hurry, have a sandwich at Boulevard Rapide or a coffee and a croissant at Brulerie St Denis. Visit the Bagel Bar for authentic mile end bagels and Lester’s Deli Express for dishes containing his famous smoked meat. A full table service is offered at Montreal en Scene and you can choose from their international menu. If steak and ribs are more your style you’ll find them at Houston or for something light have sushi at Tatami.
My Flight is Delayed, is There a Hotel?
The four star Marriott Airport Hotel is connected to the terminal building and has facilities for both leisure and business guests. There is an indoor pool and gym if you want to stay fit and a business centre if you have to catch up with work. Visit Bijou Restaurant and Bar for your evening meal or just enjoy room service.
