The Mandalay Bay opened in 1999 when Hollywood actors John Goodman, James Belushi and Dan Akroyd drove through the front doors in Harley Davidsons to get the hotel off with a bang. You’ll find the hotel at the lower end of The Strip at 3950 Las Vegas Boulevard South. It’s part of a complex with its sister hotels, the Excalibur and the Luxor to which it is linked by a sky corridor shopping gallery which also has several restaurants.
What’s the Best Way to Get to the Mandalay Bay?
The easiest access is to take a taxi or hire a car for the drive from McCarran International, the airport that serves Las Vegas. It’s around a twenty minute journey to the hotel which in the Las Vegas sun will be instantly recognisable by the glow from its gold leaf coated windows.
