Dallas, the third largest city in Texas, home to the Dallas Cowboys. A city with many attractions for all tastes. The most famous being The Sixth Floor Museum, which is dedicated to President John F Kennedy and is located in the same building where allegedly Lee Harvey Oswald fired his shots at the President on November 22nd 1963.
Dallas is an excellent place to shop as it has it has more shopping malls than any other city In the United States, so set aside a day or two and you may pick up a bargain. Dallas is separated by many districts and suburbs; the most famous is Downtown, where the historic West End nightlife is second to none. While uptown is where you will find the massive shopping malls which are full of eclectic fashion boutiques and many fine dining restaurants. As you reach the suburbs, you will find Addison which is surrounded by North Dallas; here you will find four square miles of shops and restaurants which is definitely worth a visit. Sport features very highly here, with the home of the Dallas Cowboys, which has mass enthusiasm from the whole city.
The Dallas Zoo is situated in South Dallas and boasts over eight thousand animals, covering ninety acres, get there early as there is much to see the Texas State Fair is held in autumn and has everything for a family day of fun and games.
Dallas has two major airports, the first and one of the largest in the country is DFW Dallas Fort Worth, which is served mainly by American Airlines, well over eighty percent of all flights. The second is, Love Field, which is well within the city limits but has certain restrictions and you would do well to check these. It is advisable to hire a car at the airport and with over ten rental companies, you will have no problems.
