Once you have transportation you can even do the hour an a half drive to the Costa Del Sol, which is a favourite with holiday makers.
This modern airport is situated east from Cadiz on the N-1V road or north on the A4. To get there from other parts of Spain leave the AP4 Motorway at the Jerez North Exit after 79 kilometres and take the link road at the roundabout which is sign posted airport to the N-IV. On the N-IV head north one kilometre until you see the airport slip road on the right hand side.
The arrivals and departures halls of Jerez are both to be found on the ground floor, which means that it is not necessary to do too much lugging around of your luggage.
