Part of the Eastern Cape Province, Port Elizabeth is one of the biggest cities in South Africa.

It has two nicknames, the Windy City and the Friendly City. As well as being the water sports capital of South Africa it also has one of the largest ports in the country.
The port is formed around Algoa Bay on the coast with the Indian Ocean and it has some fantastic beaches. Visitors may also want to take a tour of Nelson Mandela Bay which is fascinating as you see all the old historical buildings of Port Elizabeth.
If you want somewhere suitable for youngsters why not try Bay World where they can see live dolphin shows? The South African air force museum is also good.
