Well, last year nearly 400,000 people did, mostly from the UK, attracted by the beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, flower festival, French flavour to the island and of course the VAT free shopping. The airport is very close to St Helier and so it’s the ideal way of starting your holiday here.
Which Airports fly to Jersey?
Almost all UK airports have flights there as it’s popular with older British travellers. These are mainly operated by regional budget airlines although BA and other major airlines fly there too. If you are travelling from Europe there are direct flights from Germany, Switzerland, Poland and France.
How can I get to my Hotel?
There are lots of convenient ways. The local bus no.15 goes from the airport to St Helier centre with stops on the way. Island Buses also operate a pre-bookable coach to your destination. Taxis are plentiful at the airport and reasonable at around £12 for a journey into St Helier. Car hire is another option as the island is bigger than you think. The car hire desks are in the arrivals part of the terminal but at peak times, an additional desk is set up in the reclaims area. If you need cash, there’s a Bureau de Change at the information desk and ATMs around the airport.

Is it too Early to Talk About the Journey Home?
No, when you arrive back at the airport there’s plenty of parking. If you need it, the information desk can help you with any general questions about the airport. Once you’ve checked in, you can spend some time in the cafes and restaurants at the airport. Island Market does hot and cold meals whilst The Bar does tasty bar snacks. There’s also a Starbucks there.
If you haven’t shopped yet, the World Duty Free shop has many bargains in alcohol, perfumery, tobacco products and gifts. There’s also a WH Smith for books, newspapers and magazines, a shop selling Jersey pottery, wine and chocolates plus a shop selling pearl jewellery.
If you need assistance, there are courtesy phones around the airport where you can summon medical help or reduced mobility help. The airport is almost all on one level so access is easy and induction loops plus spoken announcements help those who have difficulty seeing or hearing.
