Santos is an important commercial city on the coast of Brazil and has an attractive city beach to keep sun worshippers happy. It has other hidden gems such as the coffee museum which chronicles the development of one of the products that made Brazil rich.

Santos is an attractive city which has an incredible five kilometre long beach front garden, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest beach front garden in the world. One of Santos' most famous claims to fame is that is was the main club of legendary footballer Pele, who many believe to be unquestionably the greatest player of all time. Santos football team still maintains that proud tradition today with players such as Robinho who was on loan there for the 2009 season.
Santos is located in the south of the state of Sao Paulo and this municipality is partially located on the island of Sao Vicente. That means that the city of Sao Vicente and the city of Santos are very close together and you can use your hire car to make the trip between them both.
About 418,000 people live in this huge city and many tourists also visit there. Santos is an industrial hub within Brazil as its port is used for much import and export.
Coffee trading is particularly lucrative, along with other agricultural products like bananas. In fact the coffee trade is so important to Santos that there is a whole museum dedicated to it in the centre of the city. You can also see the Pele football memorial.
