We're often asked if it's safe to drive in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we're pleased to say that it most certainly is, however there are some rules and regulations, not to mention local customaries that you should be aware of. Bosnia and Herzegovina is largely a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, although it does have a 10km stretch of coastline to the Adriatic Sea that it appears to have borrowed from Croatia. That said, the majority of the roads are land locked and outside of its capital city of Sarajevo, those roads are generally of poor quality, although relatively quiet as a consequence. Much like driving in any other country is this part of the world, a little research goes a long way, although you should have nothing to fear and renting a car in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a great way to broaden your horizons beyond its capital city.
