Culture and architecture are the main attractions in Pietermaritzburg. Visitors should make sure they see the city hall which is thought to be the largest red brick building in the whole of the Southern hemisphere. Queen Elizabeth Park is a great place to visit with many wild animals running free – don’t worry, they’re all herbivores! It’s the perfect place to take a stroll with a picnic and enjoy nature at its best. Finally, for the floral kind of nature, go to the National Botanical Garden which has examples of all the indigenous plants.
