Whilst the beaches here are very tempting, if you’ve hired a car from the airport to get to your hotel use it to see some of the sights of the city. A popular trip is to the Bombolulu Workshops.

Here, a charity organisation employs over 150 disabled people to make traditional Kenyan handicrafts to sell to tourists. The workshops are open daily and the workers are paid a fair wage.  Another interesting visit is to the Hindu temple, unusual in Africa, but a sign of the multicultural influences on Kenya.
