Amman is the capital and largest city of Jordan. It is has a large populous of around 2.5 million residents and is a predominantly Muslim faith. The city is the oldest city in the world, is well developed and has an extremely high standard of living. Road infrastructure around the city is well maintained and it has a good motorway system that connects to neighbouring cities. With a lack of public transportation, travel in the city can get busy and congested but a car is a necessity if you want to get around quickly and conveniently.
Amman has a booming tourism, culture and arts scene. here is a very liberal culture in comparison to neighbouring regions and dressing in Amman as a woman is much easier as the law does not force the wearing of the Muslim veil.
