Genoa Ferry terminal

Genoa Genova Airport last year saw 1.9 million passengers use its facilities for holidays or business trips. Parking at the airport is easy and good value. There are 75 short stay spaces outside the terminal building and to the left together with 700 other medium term spaces and 175 long stay spaces which are both good value for money.

How do You Get There?
Thirteen airlines use the airport for routes to Genoa including the main carrier, Ryanair. The majority of flights are internal and scheduled with international flights coming from Western Europe.

Onwards Bound
Volabus shuttles can take you from the airport to two local train stations for your onward journey. There’s also a shuttle which goes between the airport and the new Marina Airport via Sestri Ponente. Taxis are plentiful but agree the approximate fare first. For those collecting a hire car from the airport, the car hire desks can be found in a separate building accessed by leaving the terminal building and continuing straight down the walkway before turning left after the short stay car park. You’ll save time and waiting in a queue by sending someone on ahead to sort out the final paperwork whilst others retrieve any luggage. A junction of the fast motorway, the A10 is at the end of the airport access road and by interlinking with other motorways you can make Nice, San Remo, Turin, Milan, La Spezia and Florence easily and quickly reachable by hire car.

Public Information
You can find the airport information desk in the joint arrivals and departures public area and a tourist information desk which only opens from April until October. At other times of year leaflets are available from a rack outside the office. Make sure you find the correct point for your enquiry to avoid waiting unnecessarily.

Genoa is a busy airport in the north west of Italy and is a great starting point for those that want to explore the coastal states of Monaco, Monte Carlo and San Marino. The scenery is beautiful there with limestone cliffs dipping to azure blue seas backed by ancient cork forests and vineyards producing heavy reds from sun ripened grapes.

The city itself is worth some of your time too; take time to see the Piazza de Ferrari with its imposing architecture or the stunning Palazzo Reale or Royal Palace.
