Split Kastela Resnik Airport serves the city of Split and surrounding area in Croatia. It is Croatia’s 2nd busiest airport after
Zagreb.
How to Get There
It is possible to fly there all year round from the major hubs in Europe, for example
Rome or
Frankfurt, using scheduled flights with Croatian Airlines. Many airports in Europe have flights to Split during the summer season, when up to 24 airlines fly here. Off season only 4 airlines fly into the airport.
How do I get to the City?
The airport is 20km from Split and 6km from the town of Trogir. A coach service is operated by Pleso Prijevos and can be booked in advance. There is also a public bus service which leaves from near the airport – you can catch the 33 or 38 bus into the city. If you have hired a car, you will find the car rental offices in the arrivals area, it is an easy drive using route 8 into the city of Split.
What Facilities Does the Airport Have?
In the main terminal you will find a Splitska Bank if you need to change currency and there are 3 ATMs located around the airport. You can buy any last minute gifts or a snack and newspaper at the mini-market. There is an information desk in departures for all your enquiries and a tourist information office in arrivals if you need help planning your trip. You can surf the net at the internet corner or upgrade to the business lounge for a charge and enjoy some refreshments too.
Can I get Something to eat?
Yes, Ikar Restaurant and Bar offers a wide selection of local and international dishes as well as snacks, should you get hungry.
Can I buy Duty Free there?
Yes. The airport’s duty free shop has over 6,500 different products at tax free prices, everything from watches and sunglasses to sweets and souvenirs.
Does the Airport Have a Hotel?
No, but Hotel Adria is just 1.5km from the airport and they run a free shuttle service. It is a pretty 3 star hotel with 11 rooms and situated near the beach in Kastel Stafilic. The hotel has a restaurant and bar and free Wi-Fi.
What if I Need Extra Help at the Airport?
There is an information desk at the airport dedicated to looking after passengers with reduced mobility or special needs. Staff are available to provide assistance from check-in through to boarding the aircraft.
