Out and About
Heading out towards the airport, you will see the Tropic of Capricorn Monument as you approach the Atacama Desert, the driest desert on earth. Look out for the Mano Del de Sierto, an unusual sculpture of a hand in the desert, that seems to welcome you to the town. Going north, you can visit the seaside town of Juan Lopez and take a boat trip out to the Monumento Natural la Portado – a natural arch way in the sea.
