Which Car Hire – How to Find the Right Rental Car

Need help picking the right hire car? We offer the widest range of rental cars from all of the leading suppliers which means we have a great choice of cars for you, however that might confuse matters with so much choice. We help you navigate your way to the perfect rental car to suit your needs and budget whether that’s an economy class vehicle for city hopping or large SUV to fit the family, luggage and kitchen sink! Our experienced team are on hand to guide you through the process.

Which Rental Car? Follow our simple check list to find your perfect hire car…
which? rental car

Where and When?

First things first, we need to know where and when you need the car? Over 90% of our rentals are collected and returned from airports where the majority of rental suppliers are based. So if you’re arriving into an airport you’ll likely get the widest range of suppliers and thus cars here. If downtown, you can search by location for added convenience, just pick from the list of options from our handy map.

Who’s Travelling?

Just the 2 of you and want to keep costs to a minimum? We arrange our results in price order and show the cheapest and most popular first. So if you’re after an economy or budget car for just you, a couple or small group with a little luggage our smallest cars are invariably our cheapest. If you need more space we offer up to 9 seaters at most locations, just use our category filters to show the size / type of vehicle to suit your needs and we’ll display all available cars in price order (low to high).

Which Car Rental Agent?

Do you have a preference as to which car rental agent you want to use? We are transparent from the outset and show the name and logo of the rental agent for each and every car and our customer rating for that agent at that location so you can see how other customers rate them. Whether you want to book with a recognised brand such as Avis or Hertz, or happy to book with a local supplier such as Sicily by Car it Italy or Drivalia in Spain, it’s clear to see.

Which Car Hire Extras?

Now it gets interesting, if you’re looking for optional extras such as additional drivers, child seats or sat nav then it’s worth comparing the overall cost of your rental (car + extras) against other seemingly more expensive suppliers. You may find that that total cost of the extras you require is cheaper with a more expensive rental car, so always check the total cost of your rental + extras or just ask and we’ll do this for you.

Which Excess Deposit?

Car hire excess deposits are typically around 1,000 EUR, however over recent years we’ve seen some of the larger brands reduce this excess amount in an attempt to sway customers back. Whilst you may pay more for the rental, the lower excess deposit means less risk should you have an issue and need to make a claim. Are you happy to pay a little more for your rental car and with a lower excess deposit, or pay less for the car but accept a little more risk and higher excess deposit? Remember, you must have available funds on your payment card when you collect the car to cover the excess deposit.

Which Car Rental Agents Accept Debit Card?

The good news is that more and more rental agents now accept debit cards. Whereas once car hire was only available to credit card holders, now it's more and more common that rental agents will accept a debit card to hire a car. We can help you find a rental agent that accepts debit card, it’s all in our terms but let us know if you need help here at all.

If you consider all of the points above, we’re confident that you’ll find the perfect rental car at the best price with Rhinocarhire.com
