Europcar Doing its bit for the Environment

They can make this simple CO2 emission calculation based on the type of vehicle and the distance it has travelled.

This plan is part of an Environmental Charter devised by Europcar to raise awareness about the environment.
Chief Operating Officer of Europcar Group, Rafael Girona, said: "By providing this information on rental invoices, we want to raise awareness among our customers and employees about the environmental impact of their actions and help them to be ’ecological citizens’.

“After the certification of our Environmental Charter by Bureau Veritas in June 2008 and the creation of our carbon-offset program, this latest measure further demonstrates Europcar’s commitment to sustainable development."

Europcar has gone even further, allowing customers the chance to offset their carbon emissions. They can do this when they make a booking on Europcar’s online booking engine.
The CO2 billing service is available in the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Germany, Italy and New Zealand with Australia the next on the list of countries to roll out the Europcar scheme.
