Southampton airport is a modest sized international airport in the south of England near the coast. Just under two million people use the airport which is operated by BAA and owned by the international consortium led by Spanish Ferrovial. Southampton airport has had an interesting history and some people believe that it was built over the remains of a Roman villa.
