Marmaris is a very popular place to visit and it has a little something for everyone.

For the boating enthusiast you can visit the nearby towns of Turunc and Icmeler by taking the short trip around the bay. It is also possible to visit the island of Rhodes in Greece from there.
The prices are very competitive and you also have food and drinks included.
A good place to visit in your hire car is Mugla. Mugla is the provincial capital and is typical of a Turkish town. The journey will take you over the mountains and offer stunning views of the bay and the town.
It is also possible to drive out to the ancient towns of Ephesus, Fethiye, Dalyan and Pamukkale. Relax at one of the Hamams in the town and enjoy the benefits of a body peel, oil massage or foam massage.

For the bargain hunter there are two markets located in Icmeler and Armutulan which stock everything that you can possibly think of. The markets can get extremely busy and it is wise to get there early. The market in Icmeler is on a Wednesday and in Armutulan on a Thursday.
Marmaris has excellent nightlife and the town really comes to life with bars located in the Bar Street and beach front usually very busy. Bar Street has over 100 bars that are open into the early hours and they cater for all tastes in music from rock to dance.
