Otherwise known as the Aeropuerto de Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca Airport has the full name Palma de Mallorca Airport. It serves the Balearic Island of Mallorca and deals with more than 22 million passengers annually. This is somewhat under capacity as Palma de Mallorca Airport can handle up to 25 million passengers every year. Every year since 2002 more and more flyers have gone through Mallorca airport, though there was a slight dip following the September 11 attacks of 2001. Aer Lingus, Cimber Sterling, Brussels Air, Arkefly and Bulgaria Air are just some of the many airlines which regularly use Mallorca Airport. There are also tonnes of flights to and from the United Kingdom with Ryanair, Thomsonfly, Thomas Cook Airlines and Easyjet. Meanwhile Air Berlin has flights to German destinations such as Berlin-Tegel, Erfurt, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Leipzig/Halle, Paderborn/Lippstadt and Rostock-Laage. PMI is the airport code for Palma de Mallorca Airport and it is operated by Aeropuertos Espanoles y Navegacion Aerea, (AENA). While most of the domestic flights to mainland Spain and the other Balearic Islands go from terminal A, terminals, B, C and D deal with international flights.
