The Kruger National Park is the best known game reserve in Africa and is one of Africa’s top attractions. Covering an area the size of a small country, if you’re going to see it all, you’ll need to hire a car.

The number of species and animals is enormous and you’ll need to spend a good number of days here to enjoy it to the full. Kruger Airport is known in full as Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. It is the main gateway for the beautiful Kruger National Park which is full of lots of amazing wild animals. One of the largest game reserves in the whole of Africa, Kruger National Park is 18,989 square kilometres. UNESCO has designated it as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve. That means it is protected due to the great array of wildlife that it contains.
Nine main gates surround the park including Paul Kruger Gate, Malelane Gate, Crocodile Bridge Gate, Punda Maria Gate, Phalaborwa Gate and Phabeni Gate. The Kruger National Park is famous for a video which did the rounds on YouTube showing a great animal battle between lions, crocodiles and wildebeest. This amateur eyewitness video went on to win all sorts of awards.
This South African airport has the airport code MQP. It is situated not far away from Nelspruit. South Africa Express Airlines has a scheduled service to Johannesburg. It is run by South African Airways.
