About the Airport
Cannes Mandelieu Airport is 5 km west of Cannes in the south of France. The airport is mostly used for business aviation and private jets, as an alternative to Nice Airport. Occasionally, special charter flights will be arranged to land at Cannes.
How Would I get There?
Nice Airport is the next nearest airport. From there the best thing to do is book a place on a shuttle bus or drive to Cannes in a hire car. Taxis are extremely expensive and it is often cheaper to book a transfer by helicopter or motorboat! The roads around Nice are often heavily congested so no journey by road will be straight forward. There is a bus service between Nice Airport and Cannes, the 200, but it gets very busy and due to the traffic situation can take over 2 hours for a journey of just under 30 km.
What Facilities Does the Airport Have?
The airport has basic facilities, but everything you would need. There is a bureau de change and ATM for all your money needs. You can buy books and newspapers at the kiosk and there is even a small duty free shop. If you are hungry, there is a buffet restaurant and bar. You would pick up your hire car from the car hire desks at the terminal.
Is There a Hotel at the Airport?
The Hotel Grill Campanile Cannes Mandelieu is just outside the airport. It has a bright and modern décor and a swimming pool.

Take a look around the old town in Cannes or head for the beach. Browse the stalls at the market and try some local dishes there too. Go to the marina and people watch or admire the yachts. Explore the nearby towns of Nice and St Tropez or take a helicopter trip to Monaco. Provence is on the doorstep, so you can visit Aix en Provence too.
