Polis Mini Guide
Polis is one of Cyprus’ most quaint towns and it is served by the equally charming fishing port of Latchi.

Polis and Latchi is a very popular part of Cyprus with tourists who come to enjoy the beautiful surrounding beaches and the provincial charm of the area.
It is also a great base from which to visit the Akamas Peninsula and this nature reserve in the north west is thought by many to be the most beautiful part of the island. That is because it mixes mountainous landscape covered in fragrant pine forest with an astonishingly beautiful coastline.
Visitors to Polis who wish to find out more about its history can go to the Museum of Marion – Arsinoe. It has three main exhibits covering Polis from the Neolithic through to the Medieval ages.

Polis is most famous for being where the Greek goddess Aphrodite used to meet her lover Adonis, and the baths of Aphrodite are located close to the town.
Polis is not difficult to get to no matter which side of the island you are on.
It is a 30 minute drive by car from the town of Paphos, about 45 minutes from Paphos airport and less than two hours away from Larnaca airport.
