Beaches in Paphos

Yeroksipou Public Beach 4km southeast of Kato Paphos by car.  Run by Cyprus tourism organization. Sheltered sandy beach with restaurants, changing facilities, beach bar and a range of water sports. Car parking.

Paphos Municipal Beach Kato Paphos. Rocky with small man-made sandy sunbathing area. Can be crowded.

Cynthiana 7km north of Kato Paphos by car or bus. Extensive area of rocky bays, restaurants and hotels.

Coral Bay 10km north of Kato Paphos by car or bus.  Extensive sandy beach which is excellent for families bounded by cliffs.  Rocky at one end. Tavernas, water sports, sunbeds.  Access may be difficult for the disabled.

Ayios Georgios 20km north of Kato Paphos by car. Small fishing shelter with sandy beach. Picturesque setting. Restaurant.

Lara 27km north of Paphos. Car (preferably four-wheel drive). Also boat trips from Paphos.  Area of deserted, mainly sandy beaches.  This is a nature conservation area within the Akamas National Park and the beach is the nesting ground of loggerhead turtles; there are some restrictions on the use of the beach which are signposted locally.
