Paphos Airport is a convenient arrival point for Paphos town and the resorts of Coral Bay, Polis and Latchi but many also use it for getting to Limassol too. Easy access to the very quiet motorway means that Limassol can be reached in less than 30 minutes.
If you’ve hired a car you may choose to go the scenic route along the coast stopping at the very expat orientated Pissouri or at the magical Aphrodite’s Rock, both offering different views of the island; ones that shouldn’t be overlooked during your stay.
Paphos Airport Mini Guide
Serving the town of Paphos in southern Cyprus, Paphos International Airport is the second biggest airport on the island and is mainly used by tourists who want to visit this popular part of the island. They can also get to the city of Limassol and the resort of Coral Bay from Paphos without too much trouble.

But Paphos is the main attraction. It is an extremely tourist friendly destination which offers cheap accommodation, a great night life, a wide choice of restaurants and bars and some of the best beaches in Europe.
The area is rich in history too and visitors can go to see the famous Aphrodite’s Rock at Petra Tou Romiou where legend has it the Greek Goddess was born.
Airlines using Paphos International Airport include Air Berlin, British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Finnair, Jetairfly, Luxair, Monarch and Transair. They fly to destinations all over Europe such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt and a host of British destinations like Manchester, Gatwick and Glasgow.
The terminal had a complete renovation led by the French led consortium Hermes and was reopened in November 2008. More than one million passengers have been using Paphos International Airport every year. Many facilities have been built to accommodate them including 20 check-in desks, five gates, 14 aircraft stands, a bank, restaurants, cafeterias, bars, a duty free shop and a gift shop. There is also a tourist help desk, car rental offices, first aid station, a baby/parent room and disabled access.
Since the renovations were completed a new record has been set for passengers using Paphos airport with 1,760,000 travelling through it in 2008.
Getting to Paphos International Airport could not be easier as is only 15 kilometres away from the town itself. Traffic is likely to decrease over the coming months as a new four-lane road is being built to link the airport with Paphos town. It will enable passengers and staff to avoid using the overcrowded B6 main road and the E603 secondary road.

Parking at Paphos Airport is relatively expensive and would cost you around 60 Euros for a 10 day stay.
There are a few companies which sell off-site parking and transport to the airport. These are not a bad deal as they guarantee the security of your car and offer services such as washing it and having mechanics look after it while you are away.
